Mr. Roy Paul Pitts, 95, of Newnan, went home to be with his Lord and Savior and the love of his life on Monday, November 16, 2020.

Roy was born on May 23, 1925 in Carrollton, son of the late Roy Evans Pitts and the late Winnie Amy Braswell Pitts. He was a World War II veteran of the US Navy and retired from the Atlanta Police Department as a lieutenant. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Evon Queen Pitts; 1 sister and 4 brothers.

Survivors include his daughter, Cindy P. Holcombe (Mike); sons, Mark S. Pitts (Sheila) and Gregory "Greg" C. Pitts (Kathy); 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and sister, Mable Bozeman.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Tim Hammett. Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Park in Fairburn with military honors. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
