Mr. Ronald William Northrop, 72, of Palmetto, died Friday, July 30, 2021, at his residence.

Born September 28, 1948, in East Point, son of the late Irene Ritz Northrop and the late Edgar Northrop. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann Northrop; grandson, Michael Dempsey; and brother, Wayne Northrop.

Survivors include his daughters, Donna Dempsey (Darrell McKnight), Felicia Sharkey (Steve), Nicole Caldwell (William) and Amy Reid (Todd Beal); sons, Wayne Higgins (Renita) and Richard Higgins (Cathy); 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Lorna Massuci (Don); and brother, Pat Northrop (Charlene).

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Palmetto. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
