Mr. Roger Dale Powell, 51, of Greenville, died Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born January 31, 1969 in Newnan, he was a son of the late Rusty Powell and the late Shirley Boyd Powell.  Mr. Powell was of the Baptist Faith and loved spending time with his grandchildren, he enjoyed taking them riding four wheelers and go carts.  He liked to fish and hunt and loved going to the lake.

Survivors include his daughter, Kayla Pote of Greenville; son, Joshua Pote, also of Greenville; grandchildren, Khloe Pote, Aaron Pote, and Anthony Pote; brother, Dean Powell of Franklin; sister, Dawn Powell, also of Franklin; uncle, Jackie Boyd; grandmother, Margaret Boyd; best friend, Marie Robey; and the mother of his children, Darlene Pote.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 in Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor T. J. Boyd officiating.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 12 noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
