Obituary

Robert Dale Singleton, 72, of Sharpsburg, died Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born July 10, 1952, in Union City, Georgia, he was a son of the late Martin Singleton and the late Mary Cassel Singleton. Robert was a dedicated member of Forward Church, where he found strength and community in faith. Professionally, Robert was known as the friendly face behind the wheel, having worked as a local truck driver for many years. Beyond work and church, Robert was a devoted family man. As a wonderful husband and father, he was the cornerstone of his family, providing not just love and support, but countless moments of joy and laughter. His witty sense of humor was a source of endless entertainment, and his ability to find fun in the everyday made every moment with him a cherished memory. Robert's passion for life extended to his hobbies, where his creativity truly shone. He had a remarkable talent for remodeling old cars, tractors, and dune buggies. With skilled hands and an eye for detail, he could work on anything with an engine and restore it to its former glory. Those who knew Robert will remember him as a man who could light up a room with his humor and whose creativity was an inspiration to many. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Debbie G. Singleton; son, Robert Steven Singleton; daughter, Dena Michelle Singleton Rowland (Jim); sisters, Peggy Bennett, Susie Waters, and Sharon Humphries; and grandchildren, Daniel Harbin and Devin Tweedell.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.

As we say goodbye to Robert Dale Singleton, we celebrate a life lived with joy, laughter, and an abundance of love. His legacy is one of kindness, humor, and the beauty of a life well lived. Robert's memory will continue to be a beacon of light for all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the many lives he touched.
