Reverend Robert Thomas "Pop" Doddridge, 80, of Newnan, widower of the late Janice Crawford Doddridge, died Friday, August 21, 2020 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born August 26, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of the late Robert John Doddridge and the late Jean Byers Menzer.  Pop was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and was retired from the United States Army after 32 years of service.  He was an ordained minister and served as the Pastor of New Covenant Worship Center in Franklin for 20 years.  He enjoyed singing at Church and preaching the Sunday night service at Rehoboth.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, John Doddridge.

Survivors include his sons, Robert C. Doddridge (Monica) of Newnan, and Ronald J. Doddridge (Arielle) of Palm Coast, FL; daughter, Debra Fischer (Tony) of Myrtle Beach; brother, Bill Morris (Judy) of Columbus, OH; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Rehoboth Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Hosmer officiating.
