Richard Eugene Redfern III, 59, of Palmetto, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022.

He was born in Jefferson County, Kentucky on September 26, 1962, son of the late Richard E. Redfern of Hardinsburg, Indiana and the late Mary Bishop Redfern of Palmetto, Georgia. He was a truck mechanic who worked for Thompson Trucking, Tyrone, Georgia for many years. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed helping others, he was a "Jack of all Trades". He could fix anything.  Richard was a happy-go-lucky person and always had a smile on his face. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his son, "Joel" Richard Redfern of Fairburn, Georgia. He was the brother of, Teresa Windom (Ken), Brooks, Georgia, Cynthia Redfern, Palmetto, Georgia and Michael Herrick, Moreland, Georgia.  He is also survived by nephews, Miles Varner (Autumn), Carson Herrick, and niece, Megan Raymond (Kai).
