Renee Elizabeth
(Lacoste) Pitzer
February 3, 1958 – December 10, 2024
Renee Elizabeth Pitzer, of Newnan, passed away peacefully at her residence on December 10, 2024, at the age of 66.
Born on February 3, 1958, in Newnan, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Floyd LaCoste and the late Barbara Gill LaCoste. Renee's strong faith was nurtured as a devoted member of St. George Catholic Church, where she found solace and purpose. Family was the heart of Renee's world, especially her cherished son, Patrick Wade. She found her greatest happiness in the moments spent with her loved ones. Renee's home in Arbor Springs was often filled with laughter, the aroma of good food, and the unmistakable sound of Elvis's Christmas music during the festive season, which she adored. She relished in the simple pleasures of life, such as enjoying her morning coffee with a view of the bay from her home in Carrabelle, Florida. Her love for travel took her across the globe, with Europe holding a special place in her heart. Renee's zest for life extended to her appreciation of craft beer and her fondness for the color purple, which reflected her vibrant personality. Her two puppies, Fergie and Dinger, were her constant companions, bringing joy and comfort to her days. As the sun sets on a life so beautifully lived, we bid farewell to Renee Elizabeth Pitzer, a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. Her journey on earth may have ended, but her light will never fade.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Patrick Pitzer; her son, Patrick Wade Pitzer; sister, Valarie Simmons (John); and brothers, Gordon LaCoste (Cindy), William "Bill" LaCoste, Wade LaCoste, Jason LaCoste (Vershelle), and Danny LaCoste (Terri).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church with Father Henry Atem officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Church on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
