Obituary

Mr. Paul Lopez, 38, of Newnan, died on Sunday, July 26. 2026, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born July 4, 1988, in Mexico, he was a son of Paulino Lopez Cruz and Cristina Lopez Martinez. Paul and his family moved to Ventura, California, shortly after his birth, where he spent his childhood before later making his home in Newnan in January of 2007. Paul was a devoted father and loved spending time with his precious son. He lived his life with an open heart and a spirit defined by kindness, generosity, selflessness, and an abundance of love. He was very funny, charismatic, altruistic, and entirely unenvious of others. Whether he was listening to music or simply sharing a funny moment he found joy in the simple pleasures of life- dancing, sharing a drink and creating memories with those he loved. He taught us the true meaning of loyalty and reminded us never to take a single day for granted. Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find peace knowing that his light will continue to guide us. Paul, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

Survivors include his parents, Paulino Lopez Cruz and Cristina Lopez Martinez; his son, Paul Julian Lopez; sister, Sara Lopez; brothers, Paulino Lopez and David Lopez; niece, Destiny Alarcon; nephews, Giovanny Moreno, and Andres Moreno; and numerous cousins, including Mariana Lopez Martinez, Ana Bertha Lopez Martinez, Rebeca Gallegos, Raquel Gallegos, Jonatan Gallegos, Keren Gallegos, Job Gallegos, Richard Lopez, Edgar Lopez, Oscar Lopez, Julie Lopez, Eric Lopez, and Daniela Lopez.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Hillcrest Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
