Obituary

Mrs. Minnie Lee Spratlin, 91, of Newnan, died Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Newnan Health and Rehabilitation.

Born July 3, 1934, in Villa Rica, she was one of thirteen children born to the late Cleveland Turner and the late Annie Mae George Turner. Mrs. Spratlin had a passion for dancing and cherished time spent with her family, often bringing everyone together with delicious home-cooked meals. She took pride in caring for her home and dedicated many years to working in housekeeping at the former Humana Hospital in Newnan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lester Spratlin, a daughter, Terry Spratlin, son, Marvin Keith Spratlin, grandchildren, Johnny Matthew Calhoun, and Blake Spratlin, great-grandchildren, Alyssa Calhoun, and Jordan Hitchcock, a great-great-grandson, Gabriel Campbell, her son-in-law, Johnny Calhoun, and 11 siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Jeanette Calhoun; son, Gary Lester Spratlin (Doris); brother, Herman Turner; sister, Celia Beckham; grandchildren, Tammy Crain (Samuel), Missie Campbell, Jennifer Campbell, Miranda Armstrong, Andrew Calhoun (Carissa), Jason Calhoun (Jessica), Michael Spratlin, Chasity Spratlin, and Kandy Hand; great-grandchildren, Juvia Hernandez, Elizabeth Montero, Juliana Montero, Abigail Montero, and Aiden Montero; great-great-grandchildren, Samuel Crain, Dominic McCoy, Kimberly Bishop, Jeanette Seaman, Samantha McCoy, James Bishop, Emma Bishop, Adalyn Seaman, Braxton Bonner, Victoria Calhoun, Cherokee Calhoun, Steven Calhoun, Tabitha Calhoun, Jason Calhoun, Kendall Calhoun, Nick Calhoun, Addie Little, Johnny Calhoun, Jewel Calhoun, Bianca Campbell, Victor Hernandez, Austin Campbell; Romeo Lopez, Isla Lopez, and Caroline Hernandez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor James Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.
