Michael Lee Guy, 49, of Newnan, died on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Born on December 28, 1976, in Rockmart, Georgia, he was the son of John H. Guy and the late Ida Parkerson Brumbelow. Michael lived a life filled with love, generosity, and selflessness, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A dedicated father, Michael's greatest joy in life was his children. Michael's nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication to his family were evident in every aspect of his life. In addition to his devotion to his family, Michael was passionate about gaming, a pastime he cherished and often enjoyed alongside his children and fiancé, creating lasting memories together. Michael was also a fervent fan of Florida State, proudly supporting his team through every victory and defeat. His loyalty to the Seminoles was unwavering, and he could often be found cheering them on with friends and family. Throughout his life, Michael exemplified the qualities of a truly generous soul. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, and his selflessness knew no bounds. Michael's passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him. His loving nature, generous spirit, and selfless heart touched the lives of many, and his memory will be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Survivors include his fiancé, Aimee L. Bryant; his children, Lucas Robert Guy, and Emily Rhea Guy; his father, John Guy; sisters, Ansley Byrd (Chris), and Laura Brewer; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A service to celebrate the life of Michael Guy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Shad Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
