Mr. Merrill Keith Smith, 60, of Newnan, died Sunday, April 10, 2022, at his residence.

Born December 3, 1961, in Griffin, he was a son of Mary Joyce Wilson Smith, and the late Herbert Henry Smith. Mr. Smith enjoyed fishing and going to the beach. He loved spending time with family and liked to work on classic cars and listen to music.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Pam Smith; son, Evan Bouchard of Marietta; mother, Joyce Smith of Newnan; brothers, James Smith (Wanda) of Williamson, and Albert Smith of Griffin; sisters, Vickie Calhoun (Terry) of Newnan, Twila Goddard (Winfred) of Foley, AL, Pam Pattillo (Rusty) of Williamson, and Teresa Johnson (Tim) of Franklin; 12 nieces & nephews, 18 great-nieces and great-nephews, and numerous other brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the funeral home.
