Mrs. Merita "Faye" Baswell, age 57, of Newnan, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.

Born June 29, 1964, in Atlanta, to the late William Patrick Caldwell and the late Betty Jean Jones Caldwell. She attended Bible Church of God in Union City. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Howard Baswell, Jr.; daughter, Whitney Nicole Coley; son, Joseph Eric Baswell (Megan); granddaughters, Breonna Coley, Emaleigh Coley, Madelynn Coley, Trinity Coley and Zadey Coley; sisters, Wanda Smith, Lynn Hodge (John), Tammy Little; brother, William Caldwell (Nicole); and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at  Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor John Mays officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
