Mrs. Melody Jay Wiest, 74, of Newnan, widow of the late Tom Wiest, died Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Pruitt Health in Fairburn.

Born November 19, 1947, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Harry Wilklow, Jr., and the late Mary Louise Bordner Wilklow. She was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time at home. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Marvin "Jimbo" Head.

Survivors include her daughter, Marcie Dailey (Brian) of Montana; sons, Mark Head (Robbie) of Newnan, and Michael Head of Round Rock, TX; several siblings and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held later in Mississippi.
