Mrs. Marycatherine O'Connor Link, 80, of Newnan, died Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at The Claiborne at Newnan Lakes.

Born May 11, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Robert Vincent O'Connor and the late Catherine Beiler O'Connor. Mrs. Link was of the Catholic Faith and was a lifelong accomplished artist, exceling in the areas of painting, sculpting, and making jewelry. She studied art history with a focus on Native American art and received her master's degree from Jacksonville State University. Mrs. Link enjoyed music, especially classical. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Henry O'Connor.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Frederick "Fritz" Link; children, Frederick Link (Marie Elena) of Tucker, Catherine Link Sessoms (Joey) of Sharpsburg, and David Link, also of Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Anson O'Connor Link, Carlise Elizabeth Link, William Andrew Thomas Link, Robert Vincent Link, and Zachary Michael Sessoms; and great-grandchild, Ella Rose Link.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Hillcrest Chapel.
