Mary Esther Meagher, 81, of Newnan, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at her residence.

Ms. Meagher grew up in Queens, New York. She became a schoolteacher and settled down in West Hempstead, NY. She retired from teaching after serving over 30 years with the Hempstead School District. Ms. Meagher was preceded in death by her parents Esther Fording & Philip Joseph Meagher. She enjoyed reading novels and traveling to different states. In 2006, she relocated south to Georgia. Ms. Meagher was a member of the Light of Life Ministry in Fayetteville, Georgia.

Survivors include her brother, David Meagher; and God-daughter, Divina Stewart.

The family will hold a private service.
