Mrs. Mary Ruth McLendon Heath, 85, of Moreland, died Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born January 31, 1935 in Moreland, she was a daughter of the late Paul Freeman McLendon and the late Sophie Smith McLendon.  Mrs. Heath was a member of Miracle Tabernacle Family Worship Center and was a wonderful cook.  She enjoyed shopping, gardening, and loved her plants and flowers.  Mrs. Heath loved spending time with her grandchildren and travelling locally to fairs and yard sales; she also loved Hallmark movies.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Steve Dingler; daughter, Debra Lynn Dingler; granddaughter, Brooke Jackson Katz; and her siblings, James Paul McLendon, Nellie Meacham, Nona Gordy, Eddie Lee McLendon, and Janette Bradley.

Survivors include her son, Timothy Eugene Heath of Moreland; daughters, Darlene Dingler Whitlock, and Wanda Dingler Bledsoe (Steve), all of Moreland; brother, Donald McLendon of Newnan; former husband, Harvey Heath; grandchildren, Amy Dingler Neal, Kristin B. Rogers (Adam), Brittany Whitlock Hightower (George), Abby B. Cestoni (Jared), Stephanie Cooper, T J Heath, Tyler Dingler, Ashley Heath, and Ethan Heath; 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at the graveside, in Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Richard Clay officiating.  The family will receive friends at  Hillcrest Chapel on Tuesday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m.
