Mrs. Mary Lucy Hayes, 95, of Sharpsburg, died Monday, January 2, 2023, at Pruitt Health – Franklin.

Born April 17, 1927, in Newnan, she was a daughter of the Jake and Annie Jacobs. Mrs. Hayes was of the Baptist faith and worked in the healthcare industry for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four children, Sandra Banks, Claude Hayes, Marvin Hayes, and Mary Ann Warren.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Ann Trotter of Greenwood, SC; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Kevin Hayes, Chris Hayes, and Kim Staples.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Sharpsburg Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating.
