Mrs. Mary Ella Chapman, 81, of Morrow, widow of the late Curtis Chapman, died Sunday, July 2, 2023, at her residence.

Born October 16, 1941, in Newnan, she was a daughter of the late Oliver Austin Jackson and the late Mamie Lou Jackson. Mrs. Chapman was a member of Mills Chapel Baptist Church and worked as a bookkeeper for Haynes Auto Parts. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, and playing games on her phone. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Haynes, her son, Richard Haynes, and siblings, Lunelle Nunn and Ellis Jackson.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Haynes and Patricia Herring, both of Grantville; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating.
