Marvin Allan Dean, 67, of Newnan, passed away on May 15, 2026.

Born on June 24, 1958, in Blue Ridge, Georgia, he was a son of the late Thomas Junior Dean and the late Willonell Ledford Dean. A man of diverse interests and simple pleasures, Marvin found joy in the tranquility of fishing, the camaraderie of golf, and the comforting ritual of grilling out. These pastimes were more than hobbies; they were avenues through which he forged deep connections and shared countless moments of happiness. He was also a devoted sports fan, with a genuine enthusiasm that enlivened spirited conversations and brought people together. Marvin loved visiting his grandchildren, and the time spent with them was a source of immeasurable joy.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Dean; daughters, Caila Dean, and Jordan Connor (Patrick); son, Ross Dean; step-son, Justin Warlick (Natalie); siblings, Roger Dean (Linda), and Sue Brooks; grandchildren, Cohen Chal, Chandler Chal, Reese Chal, Austin Connor, Brooks Connor, Elizabeth Warlick, Emilia Warlick and Aurora Warlick; and several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Marvin’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Hillcrest Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
