Mrs. Manor Lou Chappell, 92, widow of the late Cecil H. Chappell, died Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Ridgewood Manor Health and Rehabilitation in Dalton.

Born January 3, 1929, in Carrollton, she was a daughter of the late Ben F. Crider and the late Emma Lou White Crider.  Mrs. Chappell was a member of East Newnan Baptist Church and loved her Church family.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and cooking for her family.  Mrs. Chappell retired from Shaw Industries.

Survivors include her son, Lyn Johnston (Jane); stepson, Steve Chappell (Becky); daughter-in-law, Joyce Johnston; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial service will held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at East Newnan Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to East Newnan Baptist Church, 14 Pearl Springs Trail, Newnan, Georgia 30263, in memory of Mrs. Chappell.
