Luis Antonio Polanco was born in Colon, Panama on August 25, 1933 to Emiliano Polanco and Imogene Davis. He started his professional career as a Police Officer in Panama and later became Secret Service for President Marco Aurelio Robles. After the presidency, He went on to working for the refinery of Panama as a transporter for many years.

He later migrated to Brooklyn, NY in 1973 where he worked for the Union League Club as the maitre d' for several years. He then moved to Newnan, GA working as a security officer for the 191 Peach Tree Tower. This is where he retired after 15 years of service. He passed peacefully in his sleep at his residence in Newnan.

He leaves behind his wife, Bernice Polanco and son, Brandon Polanco. He also leaves behind his 1st wife, Gladys Polanco along with their children, Ronaldo Flores (stepson), Arturo Giscombe (stepson), Phillips Henry (stepson), Iraida Polanco (daughter), Luis Polanco (son), Marcus Polanco (son). He was also survived by his eldest children, Olga Copeland, Luis "Lucho" Polanco, Denia Polanco and Stephen Polanco; and survived by 4 grandchildren, Tatiana Polanco (granddaughter), Kerian Polanco (grandson), Julian Polanco (grandson), Brandon Polanco (grandson) and 5 great grandchildren, Bella Polanco (granddaughter), Aaliyah Polanco (granddaughter), Mariela Polanco (granddaughter), Kerian Polanco Jr (grandson), Kai Luis Polanco (grandson), Josiah Polanco (grandson).

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Tri-County Baptist Church in Senoia, with Dr. Doug Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Saturday at the church.
