Mrs. Lois Ann Bass, 79, of Newnan, widow of the late David Bass, Jr., died Sunday, March 14, 2021 at PruittHealth – Greenville.

Born September 3, 1941 in York, South Carolina, she was the only daughter of the late Ralph Cook, Sr., and the late June Brison Cook.  Mrs. Bass was of the Baptist Faith and was a hardworking, down to earth person.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph Cook, Jr., and Charlie Cook.

Survivors include her sons, Jimmie Ashmore, and Neal Ashmore, both of Newnan; brothers, Danny Cook of Newnan, and Billy Cook of Belton, South Carolina.  Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

A private service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery.
