Mr. Lloyd William Walker, Jr., 93, of Newnan, widower of the late Gwendolyn Ophelia Walker, died Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.

Born September 3, 1927 in Birmingham, Alabama, he was the last of six children born to the late Lloyd William Walker and the late Vesta Matthews Walker.  Mr. Walker was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II, and was the owner & operator of Payless Tires in LaGrange for many years.  He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and meeting new people.  Mr. Walker was a loving husband and father who never met a stranger.  In addition to his wife, parents, and siblings, he was preceded in death by a son, David Glenn Walker.

Survivors include his sons, Lloyd Wayne Walker (Reena), and Scott Anderson Walker, all of Newnan; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
