Lavell Pennington Holyfield, age 77, of Newnan, GA, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at her residence.

Lavell was born on August 13, 1945, to the late Bill Pennington and the late Annie Pennington. She enjoyed spending time with family and cooking dinner for everyone on the weekends. She was a devout believer in the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Richard Pennington, and John Leamon Pennington, and a sister, Elizabeth Wilson.

Survivors include her sons, Jeff Holyfield (Christy Holder) of Newnan, and Joseph Holyfield of McDonough; brother, Carl Pennington (Brenda) of Vestavia Hills, AL; and grandchildren, Jayde Holyfield, MaKayla Holyfield, and Cameron Holyfield.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023, at New Prospect Cemetery in Sulligent, Alabama with Brother Carl Pennington to officiating.
