Mr. Larry Dean Linton, 69, of Newnan, died Friday, April 28, 2023, at his residence.

Born March 27, 1954, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, he was a son of Velma Irene Johnson Linton and the late James Robert "Bob" Linton. Mr. Linton was of the Baptist Faith and loved spending time with family and especially his youngest daughter, Shaelyn. In his younger years, Larry enjoyed fishing and camping, but his passion was for golf, and he loved to play whenever he could. He also enjoyed motorcycles and trading cars.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 47 years, Vicky Iola Linton; daughter, Shaelyn Leah Linton; stepdaughters, Vicky Jean Thomason and Patricia Lea Boatner; grandchildren, Staci Lea Lashomb, Shari Leighann Richey, Andrew David Lashomb, and Tyler Dean Lashomb; great-grandchildren, Chandler Kane Donnell and Karoline Elizabeth Lashomb; siblings, Barbara, Sandra, Karen, Tracey, and Andrew; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Hillcrest Chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, one hour prior to the service.
