Larry Michael Jackson, age 62 of Newnan was promoted to his Heavenly home on December 28, 2023.

Larry was born on January 4, 1961, in Kenosha, Wisconsin to the late Benjamin Larry Jackson and the late Irene Norton. He moved to Georgia as a teenager where he met the love of his life Susan Jordan (Jackson).

Larry loved to work and rarely sat still.  After 30 years he retired from Newnan Utilities, but he didn't stop there, Larry and his best friend, Julius Herron, began their company, J&L Backflow.  Aside from work, he took great pride in his home and truly loved working in the yard.  Larry was always willing to stop what he was doing to lend a helping hand and he never met a stranger.  Above all else Larry loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He enjoyed singing and did so often at West Bethel Baptist Church, where he faithfully attended. He was also preceded in death by his "brother from another mother", Julius Herron.

Larry leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Susan Jackson; daughter, Jennifer Stitcher (Matt); son, Tyler Jackson (Abby); grandchildren, Joseph Stitcher, Hannah Stitcher, Abby Stitcher, and Emma Jackson all of Newnan; brother, Donald Jackson of Dekalb, IL; sister, Debbie Miller of Zephyrhills, FL; and many wonderful extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor John Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 1, 2024, at the funeral home.
