Larry "Gene" Eugene Plant, 90, of Franklin, passed away, on Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Born on October 12, 1933, in Newnan, to the late P. L. Plant and the late Bessie Mae Hemrick Plant. Gene was a veteran of the US Navy and attended Rock Springs Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Larry Randolph "Randy" Plant and Richard Plant.

Survivors include his daughters, Cynthia Juanita Crum (Abner) and Teresa Elaine Hodnett (Stan); son, Terry Gene Plant; grandchildren, Christan McLeod (Nick) and Crystal Hodnett; great grandchild, Katy-Jo McLeod; and life partner, Mildred Tallant.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside, in Oak Hill Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, with Pastor Howard Alexander and Pastor Brian Simmons officiating.
