Klaus immigrated to the United States on April 18, 1957, and was a member and deacon of the German Immanuel Baptist Church in Queens, NY. He was married to Dorothy M. Kleefeld (Mayer) from Nagold, Germany for 60 years. Klaus became a U.S. Citizen in 1976 and loved this country. He was blessed to live in NY for 35 years and in Georgia for 30 years.
He loved his big family: Children and Grandchildren, Judith & Helmut Albrecht; Oliver & Lindsay, Mia, Hallie; Jessica & Brock, Elise, Levi, Weston, Finley; Marcel, Barbara & Rob Davis; Stephan & Beth, Grace, Jedidiah, Adi Mae, Matthias & Amy, Mark, Jessica; Kristof, Don & Natalie Kleefeld, Caitlin, Bailey, John, Jeanette & Jeff; Trygve, Annika; Niece, Regina & Thomas Matthias; Nephews, Stephan & Gabi Kleefeld, Michael Kleefeld; Sister-in-laws, Ruth Rustenbach, Ursula Christa Schmidt, Markus; Brother-in-law, Fred & Annie Mayer, Stephan & Sibylle, Daniela.
He treasured great relationships with each one as well as friends and relatives near and far. He was compassionate to share his faith in Jesus, his Savior with all who crossed his path.
