Ms. Kay Frances Jones, 79, of Sharpsburg, died Monday, January 31, 2022, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born July 8, 1942, in Scarbro, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Luster Jones and Lorene Williams Jones. Ms. Jones was of the Baptist Faith and retired from Rite Aid as store manager, where she worked with her daughter, Lorene Potts. She had a very strong faith that she instilled in her children.  Kay was the kindest person you could ever meet and was a very giving person who took care of everyone. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

Survivors include her sons, Stephen Potts (Nayeli) and Arlyeh Emerson, all of Sharpsburg; daughters, Lorene "Kathi" Potts, Legina Potts, both of Sharpsburg, and Jamie James of Newnan; brother, J. L. Jones of North Carolina; sister, Barbara Lynch (Larry) of Sharpsburg, and granddaughter, Ava Potts.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022, in Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor John Lundberg officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
