Julia Jennell Darrington, 80, of Newnan, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born on March 30, 1944, in Newnan, to the late J. W. Hall and the late Elizabeth Long Hall.  Jennell worked in customer service for 30 years, for Lee King Pharmacy. She also ran a booth at the Franklin Road Flea Market, with her husband since 1982, where she bought and sold "anything and everything". In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Darrington, Sr. and son, Ellis Darrington, Jr.

Survivors include her daughters, Gail Adams (Joel) and Beth Wimpey; grandchildren, Jason Adams, Jessica Mask, Julie Worden, Hollie Ortega and Steven Taylor; and great grandchildren, Zella Adams, Ellie Wimpey, Charlotte Wimpey, Sadie Adams, Jayden Ortega, Joanna Adams, Emmie Ortega, Lincoln Ortega, Evelyn Mask, Christian Ortega, Victoria Hayes, William Worden and Lliam Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Hillcrest Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at Hillcrest Chapel on Thursday.
