Joyce A Gill, a beloved resident of Newnan, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024, at the age of 86 at Westhill Senior Living Facility. She was born at home on January 9, 1938, in a small farm town in Ohio. Joyce was the first daughter of Percy and Goldie Nommay and grew up with her siblings, James, Carol, and Mary in the city of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. She graduated from St Vincent's High School in 1956. She married David Gill on July 4, 1959, and moved to Columbus, Ohio where she had 5 children, Michael, Daniel, Stephen, Joseph, and Rene'. Their journey took them to Houston, Texas in 1969 and then to Lilburn, Georgia in 1979. Her husband, David, unexpectedly passed away in 1997. Joyce then moved to Newnan in 2020 to be closer to her children.

Joyce lived her life with a deep passion for her husband and children. She was a very organized person who loved being a wife and mother, not only her 5 children, but also was called "Mom" by all of her children's friends. She was known as the neighborhood mom.

Joyce is survived by her sister Mary, her 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Joyce's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Hillcrest Chapel.
