Mrs. Joyce Carol "Auntie Joy" Endfinger, 61, of Newnan, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Sacred Journey Hospice.

Born April 14, 1960, in Griffin, to the late Roy Ervin Boone and the late Mary Catherine Rivenbark Boone. Joyce grew up in Hampton and was the eldest of 5 children. She graduated from Jonesboro Senior High School in 1978. She attended Tift College and graduated with a Bachelor's of Art degree in 1982, majoring in Spanish. She also attended the Culinary Institute of the Pacific, where she would find her true passion in food and service. She married the love her life in 1984 and started a life of service not only to her husband, but to her country as well. During Tom's 25 year naval career, Joyce was not only a committed wife and mother, but she faithfully and lovingly served and met the needs of anyone that came into her life. She proudly served as the unofficial ombudsman aboard the USS Cushing (DD-985), along with many other roles throughout her life as a military wife.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Tom Endfinger; daughters, Catherine Annette "Catie" Myers (Zachary) and Elizabeth Yvonne "Beth" Anzures (Danny); grandchildren, Elita Nicole "Ellie" Hubbard and Grace Elizabeth Myers; sisters, Cheri James (Kenneth) and Judy Carroll (Paul); brothers, Roy Boone (Kelly) and John Boone; brother-in-law, Mark Endfinger; nieces and nephews, Ariel James, Aaron James (Ellen), Anna James, Samantha Boone, Jonathan Boone, Brittany Wortham (Michael) Brandon Carroll and Bradley Carroll; and loyal companion, Ka`Lani.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Myers officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at the funeral home.
