Joy "Elaine" Dishner, 76, of Sharpsburg, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital.

Elaine was born on June 24, 1949, in Newnan, to the late John Maddox and the late Ethel Thompson Maddox. She was a member of Fairburn First Baptist Church. She worked for Morgan Stanley as a sales associate for 30 years, before retiring. She came from a wonderful, loving family. That love, kindness and joy was spread to everyone that Elaine met in life. She will be dearly missed, and her family will carry on her legacy of love in her honor. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Preece.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Craig Dishner; daughters, Kimberly Crawford (Kevin) and Karen Dishner; grandchildren, Olivia Crawford and Colin Crawford; and nieces and nephews, Casey Tibbles, Bradley Huggins, Jennifer Gardner, Anna Cook, Josh Dishner, Tanya Dishner and Matthew Dishner

A celebration of Elaine's life will be held at a later date and announced at that time.
