Johnny Scott Hayes, 64, died on Monday, December 16, 2024, at his residence.

Born April 5, 1960, he was a son of Laverne Hayes and the late Johnny Calvin Hayes. Scott was a one-of-a-kind person who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a talented carpenter and enjoyed working with his hands. In his younger years, he liked to hunt and fish. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tracy Charles Hayes.

Survivors include his children, Christy Bowie (Michael), and Jeromy Hayes; his mother, Laverne Hayes; his girlfriend, Staci Demarsh; brother, Michael Brian Hayes (Rachel); sister, Robbin Wheeler; grandchildren, Nicholas Bowie (Ansley), Abbigail Hayes, Nathan Bowie, and Kileigh Hayes; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Westside Baptist Church with Pastor Alton Midgett officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Church on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
