Jason "Cody" Simpson, 34, of Roopville, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Cody was born on March 16, 1991, in Carrollton. He worked as a field mechanic for AIS until his health declined. He was an avid deer hunter and dirt track racing enthusiast. Above all, he loved his daughters and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pearly Estelle Stephens and uncle, Mark Menard.

Survivors include his daughters, Audree Grace Simpson and Rilynn Kodi Simpson; parents, Tammie and Scott Menard and Talmadge Simpson; sisters, Jessica Summerlin (Matt), Ashley Runels (Adam) and Katie Patterson (Drew); brother, Nick Menard; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Cody's caregivers and friends, that were there for him night and day, Judy A. Simpson and Alan M. "Gump" Griffith (West GA Ambulance Community Paramedicine), Strack Inc. Family, Tanner Hospice, Violet Jerome, Holly Scott, Jennifer Simpson-Harper and Diana and Darrell Shick.

A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Hillcrest Chapel.
