Mrs. Janice Marie Bivins, 73, of Senoia, died Monday, September 12, 2022, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin.

Born March 6, 1949, in Newnan, she was a daughter of the late Van Sewell and the late Bovene Nutt Sewell. Mrs. Bivins was of the Baptist Faith and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and travelling to the smokey mountains.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 34 years, Allen Bivins; daughters, Melissa Rooks of Fayetteville, and Marsha Bobrowski of Newnan; son, Jeffrey Bivins of Stone Mountain; sisters, Barbara Winkles (Curtis) of Newnan, Susan Rooks (Bill), also of Newnan, and Annette Bivins (Mike) of Senoia; grandchildren, Aidan Bobrowski and Brody Bobrowski; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022, at the graveside, in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel.
