Janice Lavelle Brown, 80, of Newnan, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at her residence.

Born on April 8, 1946, in Franklin, to the late Robert T. Evans and the late Ida Adams Evans. She was a member of Living by Faith Church. Janice was a wonderful cook, well known for her baking. She also enjoyed southern gospel music and NASCAR racing. She could often be found watching and cheering on her favorite driver Chase Elliott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Maynard Thomas Brown and son-in-law, David Patrick.

Survivors include her children, Lori Patrick, Brian Brown and Allen Brown; and grandchildren, Madison Neill and Kimberlee Neill.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Elim Baptist Church cemetery with Pastor Josh Howard and Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating.
