Mr. Jamie Lee Matthews, 49, of Newnan, sadly passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born February 12, 1975, in Fulton County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Larry Hugh Matthews and the late Florence Landrum Matthews. Jamie's level of loyalty to those he loved was unmatched. He cared deeply for others and would help anyone without hesitation. He loved playing with his nieces and nephews, cooking and watching both wrestling and old tv shows. Jamie found joy and relaxation in fishing, going on walks, and especially music. When the uncertainties of life arose, Jamie was the one person those around him could always count on. This is seen in his selfless decision to be an organ donor, ultimately saving the lives of three other people.

Jamie is survived by his three sisters, two brothers-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.
