Mr. James Leroy Smith, Jr., 57, of Newnan, passed away, on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

He was born on November 11, 1964, in Atlanta. Jimmy made his living as a certified electrician. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and Alabama Football "Roll Tide"! Above all, Jimmy loved his family, had a good heart, and will be dearly missed by those that loved him. He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Shirley Patterson; father, James Leroy Smith, Sr.; mother, Peggy Smith; and brother, Michael James Smith.

Survivors include his siblings, Shane Smith (Kristi), Angie Reid (John), Tonya Rickles (Chris), Sherita Brasher, Renee Bloodworth (Cliff), and Ray McDonald (Linda); fiancé, Jen Malone; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Hillcrest Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
