Mr. James M. McDaniel, Jr., 76, of Newnan, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Born November 26, 1947, he was the son of the late James M. McDaniel, Sr. and the late Laura Scoggins McDaniel. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and actively served in the Vietnam War. James enjoyed reading, working out at One Life Fitness Gym, and spending quality time with his grandchildren and family. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Ann Knox McDaniel.

Survivors include his sons, Jeff McDaniel of Newnan and Chris McDaniel (Dawn) of Acworth; grandchildren, Laura McDaniel, Charlie McDaniel, Abby McDaniel all of Newnan and Austin McKeehan (Brittnie) of Temple; 3 great grandchildren and service dog and companion, Jessie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the graveside, in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens (Villa Rica) with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
