Mr. James Hyman Hayes, 72, of Newnan, died Monday, March 16, 2020 at his residence.

Born October 9, 1948 in Raymond, he was a son of the late Bill King and the late Alma Shelton King.  Mr. Hayes was of the Baptist Faith.  He was a hard worker and enjoyed watching westerns.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hayley Nelson; and brothers, Jerry Dingler and Danny King.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Lynda Hayes; daughters, Cynthia Golembeski (Leonard) of Valley, AL, Connie Nelson (Allen) of Opelika, AL, and Jammie Bommer of Valley; sons, Chris Pitts and Jeff Pitts; brothers, Roy King of Lanett, AL, and Cullen King of Cusseta, AL; sisters, Pearl Taunton of Lanett, and Willene Olson of New York; grandchildren, Christopher Ladner, Michael Kirkland, Jason Kirkland, Anne Moore, Justin Kirkland, Courtney Simmons, and David Pitts; great-grandchildren, Hayden Ladner, Kirsten Kirkland, and Dakota James Kirkland; and his dog, Peanut.
