James Daniel Foster, Sr., 74, of Franklin, passed away on March 3, 2025, at his residence.

James was born on June 3, 1950, in Newnan, to the late Barnell Foster and the late Dorothy Smith Foster. He installed telephone wire for ANSCO & Associates. He was a member and deacon of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. James was simple man who loved the Lord and his family. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Cathy Foster; sister, Nancy Rutherford; and brother, Ray Foster.

Survivors include his wife, Candy Foster; son James D. Foster, Jr. (Ashley Foster); daughter, Jenny Foster (Larry Baker); grandchildren, Jimmy Foster, Dakota Foster, Wesley Foster and Jessica Foster; great-grandchildren, Emma Foster, Ayden Foster, Deaon Foster, Jayden Foster and Journey Foster; and sisters, Janice Foster and Cindy Blair.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Michael Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Sargent Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the funeral home.
