Obituary

Jacquie Linch Arrington, 46, of Grantville, died on Friday, October 2, 2026, at her residence.

Born on October 30, 1979, in Newnan, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late James Mickey Mills and the late Shirley Diane Smith Mills. Jacquie lived a life marked by warmth, enjoyment of the things she loved, and deep affection for those closest to her. She retired from Coweta County, where she worked as an administrative assistant, a role that reflected her steady and dependable nature. Jacquie embraced life with enthusiasm. She was an avid race fan who loved racing of all kinds, and she was also a devoted Georgia Bulldogs football fan. She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to the beach and going on cruises, and she found happiness in shopping and in making memories along the way. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandson, a relationship that brought her special joy. Jacquie will be remembered for the pleasure she found in life’s simple and meaningful moments, for the excitement she brought to the things she enjoyed, and for the love she shared with her family. Her memory will remain dear to all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Joey Arrington; son, Thomas Michael Linch; daughters, Hailey Moree Steiper (Brandon), Amber Nicole Strickland (Theo), and Rachel Ann Linch; grandson, Wyatt Strickland; brother, Michael Mills (Liz); sisters, Nancy Hickey (Andy), and Candi Smallwood (Joseph); and several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Brian Hosmer officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
