Mrs. Jackie Joylene Dobbs, 67, of Sharpsburg, widow of the late Gary Wayne Dobbs, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born June 17, 1954, in Atlanta, she was a daughter of the late Barney Roscoe Berry and the late Joan Plant Berry. Mrs. Dobbs was of the Baptist Faith and had a big heart, she was the family's sounding board, and the person everyone went to for advice.  She enjoyed playing mahjong and watching Law & Order. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Berry, and a sister, Susan Berry.

Survivors include her daughter, Brooke Grimsley (Jason) of Sharpsburg; son, James Dobbs, also of Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Brady Grimsley and Owen Grimsley, both of Sharpsburg; nieces, Stephanie Tedder of Newnan, and Jennifer Smith of Fayetteville; and several cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, in Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Scott Blake officiating. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
