Daddy" Milford Hornsby

Mr. Jack Milford "Big Daddy" Hornsby, 57, of Brooks, died Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
Born May 3, 1966, in Atlanta, he was a son of the late Herbert H. Hornsby, Sr., and the late Mary Ann Burdette Hornsby. Mr. Hornsby loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson, and loved Hank Williams, Jr., and Jim Beam. Jack enjoyed his job as a truck driver and was known to many by his handle, "Big Dog". In his younger years, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dan Hornsby, and Herbert Hornsby, Jr.
Survivors include his children, Mandi Hornsby (Matthew Ferrell) of Greenville, Dustin Hornsby (Dani) of Grantville, Melony Kneuer (Tyler) of Senoia, Jessie Neville (Brandon) of Savannah, Justin Bruce (Alecia) of Newnan, and Codey Williams (Madison) of Fayetteville; sister, Leah Turner (Darron) of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Austin, Leo, Rileigh, Ally, Makenzie, Connor, Lauren, Trevor, Colton, Gracie, Chase, KK, and Cheyenne; one great-grandchild on the way, Fallon; aunt, Evelyn Jones of Gay; sisters-in-law, Sandra Hornsby of Brooks and Tina Hornsby of Griffin; and nieces and nephews, Bradley Hornsby, T J Hornsby, Veronica Hornsby, Alicia Wilson, Jesse Turner, Billy Meadows, and Kenny Meadows.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Hillcrest Chapel with Darron Turner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, from 12 noon until the hour of service.
