Grace Imogene Caswell, 96, of Newnan, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Avalon Health and Rehab in Newnan.

She was born on December 28, 1929, in Newnan, to the late Aaron Stitcher and the late Georgia Richardson Stitcher. Grace enjoyed growing up in East McIntosh mill village and East Newnan mill village, where she made lifelong memories and friendships. She was a longtime member of East Newnan Baptist Church. She loved trips to the mountains and camping with her husband in her younger years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jake P. Caswell, Sr.; daughter, Betty Lynn Lewis; granddaughter, Kelly Mincy; great grandson, Hudson Caswell; and brothers, William "Bill Stitcher, Kenneth Stitcher, James Stitcher and Larry Stitcher. 

Survivors include her sons, Glen Caswell (Cathy) and Jake P. Caswell, Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew Mincy (Mandy) and Justin Caswell (Amber); great grandchildren, Brianna Mincy, Sadie Caswell, Olivia Caswell and Sawyer Caswell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Dan Odom officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home on Thursday.
