Crum
November 2, 1934 – September 23, 2020
Mr. Glen Byron Crum, 85, of Grantville, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin.
Born on November 2, 1934, in Miami, FL, son of the late John W. Crum and the late Edith C. Crum. Glen was a veteran of the US Air Force and served during the Korean war. He worked for Delta Airlines as an airline mechanic and retired in 1989 after 25 ½ years with the company. He was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church. Glen was a talented string musician and enjoyed playing the mandolin at church. Most importantly, he was follower of Christ, and was proud to share the Gospel with anyone he met. He constantly prayed for the salvation of the ones he loved and will be dearly missed by all. He was also preceded in death by grandson, Jerry Murphy; and brother, Ben B. Crum.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Elsie R. Crum; daughters, Becky J. Leggett (Gary) and Brenda S. Murphy; sons, Abner B. Crum (Nita), Burll B. Crum (Larisa) and Cleve B. Crum (Susie); 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at New Beginning Baptist Church in Senoia, with Pastor Ken Smith and Pastor Todd McClain officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at the church on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to a mission close to his heart, for missionary Vidal Videa in care of New Beginning Baptist Church P.O. Box 1086, Senoia GA 30276 in memory of Mr. Glen B. Crum.
