Gerald (Jerry) Victor Freeman, 79 of Sharpsburg, Georgia, passed away on August 10, 2021.  He was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on July 15, 1942 to Charles Freeman and Marjorie Berry Freeman; and grew up in Bethel, Maine. Jerry, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan; children Kimberly, Rick, and Stacy; grandchildren Ryan, Avery, Shelby, Kensea, Sonya and Madison; siblings Mark Freeman, Lorenda Freeman Dunleavy and Cynthia Freeman.

Jerry will be greatly missed by his dear friends and many colleagues in the aviation industry. He had a natural talent and personality to make friends no matter the situation, and his laugh was infectious to those around him. He was a man of many words and stories, some factual, others not so factual. Countless Irish pubs throughout the world were blessed to hear Jerry's renditions of numerous Irish ballads.  Jerry led a good life and had a peaceful death with Susan at his side. And for the record, he did not lose his battle with cancer. When he died, the cancer died, so technically, it was a tie.

At Jerry's request, no service will be held. The family is especially grateful to the staff at Cleveland Clinic for their care and compassion.  Memorial donations can be made to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Please include Jerry's name and designate gifts to the area of Pulmonology.
