Mr. Frederick Carl "Fritz" Link, 86, of Newnan, widower of the late Marycatherine O'Connor Link, died Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at his residence.

Born July 25, 1935, in Evanston, Illinois, he was the only son of the late Alfons Link, and the late Elizabeth Berger Link. Mr. Link retired from the United States Army as a Chief Warrant Office 3, after service in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, biking and many other outdoor activities. Mr. Link was a published author and enjoyed poetry and travel. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Rogodzinski.

Survivors include her sons, Frederick Link (Marie Elena) of Tucker, and David Link of Sharpsburg; daughter, Catherine Link Sessoms (Joey), also of Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Anson O'Connor Link, Carlise Elizabeth Link, William Andrew Thomas Link, Robert Vincent Link, and Zachary Michael Sessoms; and great-grandchild, Ella Rose Link.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Hillcrest Chapel.
