Obituary

Fred White, 80, of Newnan, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 6, 2025, at his residence.

Born on November 21, 1944, in Pearson, Georgia, he was a son of the late James David White and the late Burnadette Adams White. Fred's professional life was marked by a distinguished career at Ford Motor Company, where he retired as Line Manager. His leadership and work ethic left an indelible mark on his colleagues and the company. But it was his role as Pastor for the Assembly of the Firstborn Pentecostal Church in Franklin that truly defined his life's work. For over 40 years, Fred served his congregation with an unwavering commitment to faith and community, touching countless lives with his wisdom and compassion. Fred's love for his family was evident to anyone who met him, and his bond with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was a source of immense pride and happiness. He instilled in them the values of kindness, generosity, and faith, creating a legacy that will flourish for generations. An avid fisherman, he found solace and joy in the tranquility of nature, often reflecting on life's simple pleasures. Fred's life was a living sermon, embodying the virtues he held dear. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Pattie McCullough, siblings, Carolyn Sirmons, and Kelly White, and his best friend and brother-in-law, Billy Higgs.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, JoAnn White; daughter, Trina Kay Ahmed; brother, Buck White; grandchildren, Naddia Ahmed, Airyonna Ayala (Edgar), Addie Boyd (Stephen), and Samina Ahmed; great-grandchildren, Baylee Boyd, Asher Boyd, Landon Ayala, Levi Strickland, Scarlett Strickland, Isaac Strickland, and Celia Mar Ahmed; and numerous nieces and nephews.
